I think one might refer to "technological evolution" from here on forward.
science might influence its emergence to a great extend...even force it.
i refer to the human genome project etc.
"natural selection" might become redundant seeing that humans are already able to alter/modify their genes.
the Q could well be - will we "survive" our technology or could it lead to our destruction.

OK, this is going to happen in one or two of 3 basic ways:
1)Christ comes back; we get the new bodies he promised
(Within the next 100 years per the bible)
2)We move our consciousnes from biological bodies to robotic bodies (This will take place within the next 200 years)
3)From robotic bodies we will advance into some form of energy being. (Either when Christ returns, or within 300 years of robotic advancement)
So, there ya go- some ideas, you can fine tune them for your own purposes
