Don't blast me if this is a dumb question. I'm trying to find a good excuse ti buy a mac. I currently have a DVD / Surround system that I need to replace. I started thinking use a Mac Min. My question is (sorry for being mac ignorant) what do I use for a sound card to get the 5.1 etc and connect my speakers without buying a amplifier?. If I using a PC I would install a SoundBlaster card.

I'd recommend the Griffin Firewave

As it is the Mini isn't a very good home theater PC. It lacks outputs and space for puting in a new sound card, video card, etc. It is great however as an entry level mac, and should suffice for most people's performance needs.
