Have you considered getting waxed? I know its painful initially, but it results a smooth look... Also, try using Nair (sensitive) on your legs and then shave, that results in a very smooth look too. I addition to that perhaps try using some of those firming lotions on your legs that should do the trick.

If you want glowing skin and don't want ot tan, Dove has products out as do Johnson&Johnson which act as bronzing moisturisers. I don't know what they are like though because I haven't tried them. I use Yves Rocher cosmetics, and whatever moisturisers and makeup you use, if they are correctly applied and removed, then your skin should not be so rough and red. Have you tried waxing your legs or using hair removal creams? THey are cheap easy to use and the hair take longer to grow back.

Yes I am pale skinned also and gave up on tanning long ago as I only really burned anyhow. Who wants to grow old and leather like before there time anyway?
I also am prone to redness and am working on that one - I think it's my Irish blood! I also have hairy legs etc - am working on that one too. My latest idea is to try electrolosis. You can buy kits for mabye about £50 and I think if you buy a good brand and it does what it says on the box then it is god value for money!
The best way to achieve glowing skin is to eat healthily - plenty of fruits vegetables etc. I tend to have red spots on my legs if I have too much sugar! Also plenty of water. I decided to make myself drink it earlier on in life and now I love it and really notice if I am dehydrated.
Hope this helps my fellow fair skined friend!

At the drugstore, like Longs or even Target, you can get products to help moisturize you skin. I know you don't really want a tan, but there are some self tanning products that will give you a real light tan. The most important thing here is don't listen to what other people say about your skin and just be yourself!

the lumps and bumps sound like ingrown hairs.. but don't worry there treated very easily or wax instead. i would recommend always wearing sunblock of factor 30 and above, wearing bright lipgloss brings out pale skin and another is to wear a pale headscarf in your dark hair.find a good body moisturiser and use it straight from the shower.enjoy!

by some products from neutrogena and a strong sunscreen to keep from peeling and redness and pain from burns.
but i have a friend who is really pale skinned and she does the same thing to protect her skin. just feel comfortable in your own skin and i say laugh at them people that have orange skin and bleach blond hair. they look like film negatives!

My best advice is avoid getting tan at all...I happen to be rather tan myself, and nothing bothers me more than the fact that my forearms are tanned from going around in short sleeve shirts

For the bumps on your legs don't shave as often. Switch it up between shaving nair and having it waxed. It works for me.

Well I am not sure about how to keep your skin white except not to go outside, but most tanning salons have a thing called mystic tan its a spray on tan that doesnt hurt your skin at all.
