I'm a huge, HUGE comic book fan (especially Marvel!) and, just so I don't feel like an outcast, how many of you like comics? 1) who's ur fav. character, 2) ur fav. types of comics (like DC, Marvel, etc..)

Been "addicted" to comic books since I was a kid (which was too long ago). Nice to know there are still fans reading, as there are plenty of choices for people to pick from. Personal favorite is Iron Man as he is believable in the realm of possibly existing in reality, and the stories usually have elements of science fiction. Marvel has had a slightly stronger appeal, but I still read other publishers like DC, Dark Horse. There ARE other independent companies with great stories and art and readers should check them out as well!

Yeah i do too but i can't afford them. Comic books are more expensive than i thought. If i am lucky i'll find good ones at the library but other than that, i only own a few. My thing is that watching/owning the movies/anime seems like a better investment and i know about those better since they market them heavily.
There aren't a lot of comic book shows on t.v. and there definitely isn't any classes at schools that teach you how to make comic books. My only source is the internet chat rooms/q&a or once in a while meeting someone who has similar interests.

I love comic books! My favorite hero is the Sandman. I love Neil Gaiman. Lets be honest, the man craps gold. I think I like DC comics the best simply because they have BATMAN. Haha, I'm a total Batman geek!

I love em. I have thousands of them that I've collected over the years, although I've pretty much stopped at this point.
My favorites are the X-Men, Silver Surfer, Ghost Rider, and the Avengers for Marvel.
Superman, Batman, Justice League of America and Europe for DC.
Your so not alone, comics are awesome and we are finally seeing some of the cool movies coming out for them.

I have not really got into american comics but i do like manga, which is japanese comice books. I love death note, right now that is my favorite. I also luv bleach, naruto, fullmetal alchemist, yuyu hakusho, happy hustle high, case closed, the list goes on! I just love manga and I love collecting it as well. Dont feel like an out cast:)

I don't like Western comics, but I read mangas (Tokyopop? I only read good ones though... there are some really crappy ones out there). There are too many things wrong with Western comics for me to read them.

i read manga graphic novels, you should try them. they sell a lot of them at barnes & nobles
