ok what really bothers me is that everyone is so concerned about rebuilding New Orleans, but what about Mississippi? The Mississippi coast was hit by the worst part of the storm (the North East corner) and was hit the hardest. Yet you hardly hear anything about people rebuilding Mississippi. All the celebreties are busy trying to rebuild New Orleans. Maybe they just want the Mardi Gras party place back.

Becuase it isn't Brad Pitt's sole responsibility to fix the problem. It is the governmen'ts problem--they screwed up on so many different levels, in so many ways with that thing. The purpose of celebrities going to places like New Orleans is because the story is old and when celebrities go somewhere, they are always followed by an entourage of cameramen. It gets more attention. I don't think rich people have to fix all of society's problems simply because they have money. Did Brad Pitt cause the hurricane and the flood? Nope. I'm sure he has donated money for worthy causes, but he isn't responsible for fixing what happened. I applaud him for his civic mindedness. Most celebrities would rather go to the beach or on vacation than deal with society's problems. Kudos to him for helping out. It did get it back in thte news, didn't it?

curiously human beings enjoyed the way that Brad Pitt is kinda maximum advantageous the can charge whilst it includes rebuilding New Orleans' decrease 9th Ward, and in accordance to the Make It suitable commencing up's internet site, he spent various time organizing various charities and agencies to help out. So, possibly he has some managerial skills, yet i do no longer think of he's interested in pursuing a occupation in politics, thinking how he continues to be on the top of his occupation. Plus, how loopy are human beings going to be approximately him, thinking he's professional-gay marriage, professional-legalizing/ taxing/ regulating pot, and he's against faith.

You said it honey.... There are a lot of celebrities that talk big but how much of their millions do they actually put out there to help the REAL people. But to be honest, I have to admit that I still so angry at him that I probably couldn't give a fair answer. He was my very favorite male actor and now I can barely stand to look at him. I just hope the old saying "what goes around comes around"... I hope he gets hurt twice as much as he hurt Jennifer. Angelina doesn't know a good track record for sticking around long with one guy (or girl) And I never liked her after I saw her French Kiss her half brother on an award show ... EEWWWHH

That's one of the reasons I love when Howard Stern critiques news clips about Hollywood celebrities! They often come out with the stupidest quotes when they get up on their soap boxes. It's really humorous, because you often don't have to tweak the clip or anything. The celebrity is hilarious enough just trying to sound smart all on their lonesome.

Probably he is helping out financially, I don't know. Are you saying the government has no responsibility to do anything? That seems to be what conservatives really do believe, thats why the gvt. didn't help New Orleans, even to prepare, and why it didn't help New England after their floods, and why its leaving Americans in Lebanon to get out on their own now. Thats 25,000 of your brother and sister citizens, being left to fend for themselves in a war zone. I can't wait for this conservative nonsense to run its course, to be proven BS, and get dropped.

Why should Brad Pitt pay for it. Why doesn't your government get their nose out of the Middle east and put the money at home first? Eeehhhhhh.....

i think he has probably donated a lot of money to the rebuilding fund. i don't think he is the type of person (especially since Angie) that would go on preaching about something, and not actively doing something himself, just look at what they did with the money they got from selling the first pic of their baby, did they not donate all of it to charity?

Not sure, it's all a publicity stunt in my opinion. Celebrities thrive on attention and will do whatever it takes to get it. Sad is the person that cannot do things quietly, but must do them so "everyone knows" - Look at me, give me brownie points.

This is a question for all celebrities. Especially the Bush-bashing liberal ones who want everyone to have free healthcare and everything, yet refuse to donate their own money to any of these causes.
