it all depends on your type of skin and what look you are going for. different companies are good for different things.

True you need to check out different brands. I found for me that buying a more expensive product was offset by the quality and ingredients. Start with a clean surface. If the canvas isn't in good shape, no makeup will look correct. I switched to Artistry cosmetics, sold by Amway or Quixtar folks over 25 years ago. I had break outs at first but that was because the cleanser was doing what I was paying for... really cleaning my pours. Their colors are great, guaranteed and if you don't like after you buy them, you get your money back. Can't say that about stores.

some drug save or low value manufacturers are like no call types. Made by capacity of better end manufacturers yet given a different call. L'oreal is in all likelihood the worlds best distributer of cosmetics and owns companies like Revlon and Garnier to call some. basically purchase the variety that has the colour you desire to placed on and throw it out after six months no be counted if it extremely is no longer complete. continually word your make-up with a moist make-up sponge so the warmth out of your arms does not replace the colour of your make-up.

It can take a bit of trial and error experimenting with different brands that can work for your skin type. I recommed trying Mary Kay's makeup, though because I've noticed it works well with most skin types. You have to have really extra super sensitive skin for it to have an adverse affect on you.

It all depends on personal preference in my opinion. I no longer buy cheap makeup. I don't like what it does to my skin. I really like Lancome and Clinique products and have purchased mainly those over the last several years. Of course, I experimented with many products over the years. These are just what I like best for me.

go to the make up counter at your local dept store and get some pros advice. Try a few different brands this way to see what you feel like is best on your skin and then make your purchase.

Like best for your skin type? Well I wear assorted Jane, NYC, Avon, Manic Panic, and Sephora eye crayons ( that's the only thing I can afford at Sephora.)

I would try Prescriptives, MAC and Benefit. these are good, overall lines for makeup, even if you have sensitive skin.
If you are not in an area that has these lines available, try Sephora.com
