the rim is the metal part of the wheel, the tire is the rubber part if the wheel, and the hubcap covers the area where the wheel attaches to the axle. the hubcap can cover the whole rim, or part of it. the wheel is the whole assembly or these.

Hubcaps are usually plastic covers, though metal ones are found in older vehicles that attach to a rim and are usually cheaper. These can attach to just the middle part of the rim, but they normally will cover the entire thing.
Rims are made of alloy or steel and can be your fancy chrome rim that we see on the big SUV vehicles and other nice cars, but they can also be the black ugly rim that simply holds the tire (and the hubcap) and attaches to the hub of the car.
Wheel can be all encompassing, it can refer to the tire and rim package combined or sometimes people say "alloys wheels" on their auto classifieds.
Hope it helps!
