Mine is the sound of a dog licking itself. Annoying beyond words.
I just noticed that my pet peeve is pet related. Does that make it more valid and a guaranteed recipient of 10 points?

I am just generally a grammar nazi - spelling, pronunciation, all of it. The only things that don't really bother me are punctuation errors, and that's because I'm still not entirely sure where to place a comma (or not to place a comma, for that matter).

people who tap or wiggle their feet next to me
people with no manners
ignorant people
people who can spell right but doesn't

Mine is people who mispronounce words. I almost cannot help myself--I want to point it out! My husband comes from another part of the county and says "GEE-SHA" for "geisha" and "melk" for "milk" and "agg" for "egg" and "mayor" for "mare." All the above does is prove I am an intolerant, self-righteous brat and I should be ashamed...actually, I am!
