There was nothing in the divorce papers about the 3 kids, money, nothing. Mom was told to sign the papers otherwise Dad could go to Reno and not tell her anything. Back then nothing was mentioned about retirement it was always assumed back then. Mom didn't find out she couldn't get anything until 30 years later.

That sounds very strange. If your mom and dad had you, then he would have had to pay child support. 14 years isn't long enough to get alimony... and the retirement bit is impossible to tell without knowing some other details.
Are you sure you got the correct information there? or rather "complete" information?

The kids can get some sort of support, I'm sure. Don't know how to go about it though. Try to find you local VA office and check with them.

If she has been married to him the longest, when he dies she will get his social security, but she also is entitled to housing no matter how long she was married to him because he was in the military and it puts you at the top of the list. My mother just got elderly housing and her ex husbands benefits. Contact your local Housing Authority and get her on the list... Good Luck... yeah men suck...
