I have to go with George Bush. Some of the evils he is currently inflicting on the environment will be felt for decades to come. He is IMO the worst president I've ever seen! I thought his father was bad, and in this case, the apple really doesn't far from the tree! (I think it was spoiled rotten before it hit the ground too.)

Let's see, Idi Amin, Saddam, The Ayatollah Amini,Attila the Hun, Genghis Khan,Pol Pot. There have been many really evil leaders. They seem to try and out do one another.
the new leader of Iran is right up there too.

Rather than focusing on leaders who's broad political powers included the wanton slaughter of people either inside or outside the state. Let us focus on religious leaders and their broad powers of manipulation. Like Jim Jones for example, who in '78 convinced a group of 900 people that it was a good idea to kill themselves.

There have been and are still many. I nominate Pol Pot, the Cambodian leader who perpetrated the nightmare portrayed in the movie "The Killing Fields". He wiped out 20% of his own population.
