I really like:
Cherry- it is a hard wood which makes it durable and I really like the color.
Pine- When I don't have a lot of cash it is easy to get a hold of and I can stain it to match my other woods.
Oak- If I just want unstained wood I have to go for oak! It just looks good in it's natural form.

Hawaiian Koa is beautiful. My son used to work in a guitar shop, and that was my favorite wood.

I like cherry for it's color. Cyprus for it's sturdiness, and always loved knotty pine walls. But that's just my opinion. Have a good one!:-)

40 acres, on my Grandfathers farm, I could see it today, if it weren't for all the trees that have grown in my absence.
