I would have called that Sod's Law.
It's a similar principle with clothes shopping. No money? You'll see loadsa things you'd love to buy that'd look great on you.
Cash in your pocket? Nothing looks the part!

There is so little worth watching on TV its incredible. We are fooled into thinking that if we suscribe to Cable or Sky then our lives will be enriched by programmes such as 'How fat is your wife?' or 'How small is your ****?' In the UK we are being shown so much crap in a bid to get us to go digital. Then in 2010 we can be shown 25-40 channels of crap as opposed to 5, endless repeats and programmes designed for social control. We must take a stand and educate ourselves, get playing an instrument or sport, far more enjoyable.

You're just very unlucky my friend :-)
Try looking in the TV Guide and circle the programs you like and try to fit them into your busy schedule. Or you could march into the television studio of the crappiest channel or program and set them on fire....
Personally, I think that the first option is better.....
