I'm looking for a good online text (or book if there is nothing online) to teach Java to somebody who doesn't know anything about computer programming.

Um... a simple Google search isn't going to do it. I'm looking for a book/text to teach somebody that has no knowledge of programming at all while most texts assume basic knowledge of variables, functions, classes, etc. It would be nice if it was avaiable online so I wouldn't have to purchase anything and could use it immediately.

The library is where I find my best FREE books.

But for on-line here is the best site I have found for training on everything. If you go back to there home page you can find almost anything.

This link will take you directly to beginning Java.
