Act aloof, stand-offish. Don't talk to people unless it is related to business or absolutely necessary. Sneak in and out of places. Make secretive phone calls. Come and go at odd hours and make up strange excuses for your absence. Be seen carrying things like a powerful flashlight and and a life preserver. If anyone asks what they are for, run from them. Read technical manuals for spacecraft or lasers. Leave them conspicuously about. If anyone asks what you are doing, grab the manuals and yell "You weren't supposed to see that!". There's a lot you can do to be mysterious. But I can't tell you the rest; not yet anyway....just look for a plain looking manila envelope in the mail.

Never talk to people and go about your business alone all the time. People will constantly wonder about you. Hence you will become mysterious - or shrouded in mystery.
Not that I recommend this but just letting you know this is one way it can be done
