Really. . . How may people are going to attempt to counterfeit a $1 bill? It isn't worth it to the criminals, and the govt doesn't have to spend the money to get a new design, print all of them for circulation, and then take the old ones out of circulation. It's gonna save me a few of those $1 bills come tax time, I'm for leaving it alone.

the changes are designed to reduce forging the currency, the 1 dollar bill is not a concern as it is seldom forged!
