They might listen to calls to foreign countries. I don't really care. I don't have anything to hide in my conversations. I'm not making drug deals or planning terrorist attacks.

I think they'd have an interest in your telephone calls only if they felt you were involved in something of a national security risk or if they had good reason to believe you were involved in a criminal plot of some kind. I don't think they would listen in on ordinary people who are law-abiding citizens.

They don't have the staff for that -- honest ... can you imagine how many people would have to be hired to do this, if indeed all of us were to be monitored likewise?

No they can't listen to millions of phone calls. They didn't listen to phone calls at all. They kept track of where you were calling in foriegn countries and how often.

Like if you called several different places in Iran once a week they would get suspicious of you.

You had better believe they are listening to phone conversations. They are also watching these type of sights. If you go to peace activist meetings, watch for infiltrators. This has been going on for quite sometime.

I don think they are, but you should NEVER say anything on the phone, or write anything on a computer and think it is private. There are alot of ways to steal that info without being govt., but of course they can do it too.

Absolutely! Personally, I hate it, but what can we do? Freedom, liberty, and privacy have been taken away by terrorists and we're unwilling to do what it takes to rid the world of them.

If they're listening to mine, they are pretty bored by now. Nothing exciting here on this front.
