I agree with you - men with low self esteem - men that want to say to others 'look at me, see what I've got' - problem is they haven't anything at all

Men in middle age, usually balding with too much money and too large an ego to support a woman who is capable of logical thought and some degree of maturity. Oh, and let's not forget that these guys have massive penis envy...

Self-esteem is probably part of it, but so is money. If you have enough money, you can have pretty much any girl you want in this society. It's kind of sad, really.

Yes, they think they are being judged on their girlfriend, car, suit, watch etc and cannot tolerate being associated with anything less than 'perfect' or out of date. Its also a streak of competitiveness. Its down to people who think in terms of hierarchy; whats best, who's top dog, who won. Anything less is seen as weakness, because no 'real' man would tolerate being lower on the hierarchy.

shallow men who are only concerned about what society will t hink of them. it's too bad that some "trophys" can only carry on a conversation if it's about them or if it lasts no longer than their bra size. :)
