Europeans are ok, but their fall into socialism worries me a little. It seems to me their economic growth has lagged too much since the early 90's, mostly due to their rigid labor laws. I like job security as much as the next guy, but not to the extent that far too few jobs get created in the first place.

On the other hand, their social attitudes about sex and drinking seems a lot healthier than ours. Here kids binge-drink whenever they can get their hands on anything. And heaven forbid if a woman takes her top off at the beach here! The free world will collapse . . .

In general, I think there are more similarities than differences. One thing's for sure, the beer's a whole lot better over there.

I've known a few Europeans, and they've been lovely people. I've been to England and France and have found citizens of both countries to be quite pleasant (especially in France...I did encounter a bit of rudeness in England, but to be honest I think the guy was just overworked and a little stressed). Honestly, though, does it really matter? You're people too, same as us. There are saints and a**holes in every society.

I think they're much better than Americans, that's for sure. I'm an American and I try my hardest to not live up to the American stereotype (obese, greedy, power hungry, quick temper). I guess that means I want to be more European? You guys seem to have a pretty good grasp on things over there.

I fortunately lived in the UK for 8 years. I found that people are people no matter where they live. Where I lived there were really nice people and some jerks, kind of like here in the US. I can't wait to go back for another 8!

I think they are great! Since we have been stationed here in Italy, we have traveled to many of the other European countries, and the people have all been so nice and friendly!

I LOVE England!
As far as the rest, not including United Kingdom, I don't know much about. I've heard the french are kind of friendly, though.

Most europeans I meet are trashy and the men carry purses. At least that's the way it is at Starbucks.

I like them a lot; I wish I could live in Europe, but alas, I'm stuck in the ol' USA.
