Movement causes the most pain. It doesn't hurt if I don't move it. The bicep and the top of my forearm are the most painful. I can't grab anything. I went to bed fine and woke up with the pain. Advil has done nothing for it even though it feels muscular. Maybe I've pinched a nerve while sleeping?

You probably slept in a wrong position.

Put some ice in the affected area for 15 minutes and then give a massage with some muscular pain reliever cream, like Ben gay. Then after 2 or 3 hours put a hot compress for 15 minutes also.

Do this for 3 days if after 3 days the pain still there then go to the doctor.

Take some pain killers like Ibuprofen if you are not allergic top that.

Take care I hope this can help.

Could be how you slept during the night -- were your arms scrunched under your body, over your head, whatever. I have similar problems with my arms and I love to sleep on my side and this scrunches my shoulder and wrecks it. Or, you may have done some activity the day before that strained your arm and you were not aware it was happening. Feeling like I have some form of bursitis, I am taking flax seed oil, cod liver oil, and bioflavinoids every day and my arms have improved, makes me feel so much happier to be able to throw the ball for the dog! When I overdo it though, my arm feels more pain.

I have carpel tunnel and tendinitus, and it does not sound like the pain I have with either of those, which are mainly from the elbow to the fingers. If the pain does not leave in a matter of days, go to an osteopathic specialist. Try binding it in an ace bandage tightly and don't move it if possible.

You slept on it funny for like 6 hours!! I've done it a thousand times with EVERY part of my body... Your best bet is to triple your water intake...not juice, not tea...WATER. Avoid advil and what not unless the pain becomes intolerable. Stretch Stretch Stretch.

Good luck!

It is very possible that you just pinched a nerve in your sleep. If the pain gets worse, or is followed by numbness, see a doctor.

Possibly Tendinitis. I once had the same problem in my left elbow. Go see a doctor to be sure.
