No. That is a stereotypical statement as well as a generalization. My best friend is a blonde and she attends Yale and had 4.0s all throughout high school; a fat brunnette girl in my band class has a solid 1.0 and she tries her hardest. I know it's just one instance, but I would like to suggest that stereotypical allegations are one of the most annoying things that I know of today. Have a nice day.

Think about it...the hair has less pigment. What would that possibly have to do with the intelligence of the brain? Using that, the darker one's hair was, the smarter they'd be, right? Does that make sense? Nope...it makes no sense at all. There IS, however, some truth to the shallowness it takes to be nothing but a man pleaser, be totally superficial, and self-absorbed. Some of THOSE girls will try winning their way through life with looks. Along comes the bottle of blonde hair...and wah lah! Dumb blonde.

Here's the deal. For some strange reason, people do a double take when they see a blonde. It doesn't matter if they are good looking or not. When a person gets more than an average amount of attention, they tend to focus on what gets them attention. If it is their intelligence, they use that. If it is looks, they use that.
When you get attention in other areas, you tend to neglect others. If you are good looking, you may neglect intellegence, etc. I think blonde's and brunett's both have and equal change of being "dumb". It all amounts to the attention they attract and what they do with it.

No, it's not true that blondes are dumber than brunettes. Studies show that blondes have more initiative to learn than most brunettes or anyone. I have two friends, one is blonde and one is a brunette. My blonde friend studies 10 times more than my brunette friend because she figures the more people that think blondes are stupid are making more blondes prove them wrong because they have the drive to do things better than a large percentage of most non-blonde people.

There is no evidence of any measurable difference in
average intelligence between persons of one natural
hair color and another.
There are, however, a lot of people who believe that blondes
have more fun and will color their hair to have that fun as well.
That very act makes me wonder about THEIR intelligence.
The so called "Bubble headed bleach blonde" is a really
worrying trend in fashion.
Also recognized that "dumb" isn't all that useful a description
here. Do you mean non intelligent (stupid) or unable to talk?
If you mean "Unintelligent", at what level are you talking about?
Perhaps some people care more about fashion and
visual appeal and others care about something more ... uh ...
fundamental and useful to the world in general (gee, where
do I stand?)
Someone who spends alot of time worrying about what
color her (or his) hair is, clearly hasn't read the news lately.
Realistically, he (or she) probably can't be bothered.

beach and it asked me what wish it could grant me I said I had enjoyed being dumb, it got me lots of attention as a blonde
and my wish would be to be even DUMBER!
Jeannie said "GRANTED!" and

Considering that dumbness is a part of laziness ie the power to use ones true thought pattern then it is just as easy for a bald person to be dumb .those people that never really don't use the full potential of their brain tend to be considered Dumb. My wife is a blonde there's some things she doesn't know but she,s not dumb.

I think that is a general setereotype that came from somewhere. And I think many blonds nowadays play at acting dumb. I know I had a gf who could be very condescending if someone tried to talk down to her. She would play along and act dumb.
Don't think intelligence nor common sense is based on hair color.

It's not because they are blonde, it's because blondes tend to be more attractive to men (somehow, though many men will disagree w/ me; hmmm... maybe because there are more blondes in America than brunettes). But anyway, because of this "fact", they tend to be out of reality, believing in beauty and Prince Charming coming to rescue them (hmmm... why most princesses blonde, such as sleeping beauty and Cinderella), while brunettes and other hair types are more down to Earth. Also, there are tons of blonde people who aren't dumb!!!
