It's a toss-up for me...I can't decide between the original Final Fantasy, because that was really my introduction to the world of gaming, and The Sims, which drew me back in as an adult and made it all fun again. They were both innovators for their time, and really unlike anything else on the market, so those are my tie for number 1.

My answer may seem biased because i only play Nintendo, so keep that in mind. Hmm.... well my personal favorite is Super Mario 64 on Nintendo 64. It paved the way for 3D platformers and offered a helpful new device to the gaming experience- the ability to change camera views. It was one of the first for both of those examples. But as for fun-factor, the Paper Mario series, Mario + Luigi series, and ALL Zelda and Mario games in general. And you can't forget Mario Kart- it has appeared on all consoles and handhelds made by Nintendo. Best fighting game- Super Smash Brothers Melee. All of the excitment of a fighting game and all of the fun of our favorite characters. But as I first mentioned, Super Mario 64 takes the gold in my book. =]

Final Fantasy VII for PS2. What a storyline. Super Mario 64 - visually stunning for its time. Goldeneye N64 - ultimate multiplayer... i could go on... but if I had to choose FF7. Most probably I will change my mind again when I'm a bit more nostalgic towards Mario :)
