Very good rail network from Athens to Patra. From Patra you will have to take a boat to Corfu because Corfu is an... Island

Trains do run from the west coast next to Corfu, but only off and on, mainly local, which means slow and stopping at every tiny village. It may be worth the trip. Take pillows and stay alert. It actually may make more sense to take ferries. Go to Matt Barrett's site www.gogreece.com for details. Good luck.

Corfu is an island; it is not on the coast. You can take the train or bus to Patras, and take a ferry over. The ferry is just a few hours. The train or bus is usually about 4-5 hours.

Corfu is an island, so first you got to take a ferry and go to the mainland. There is the nearest big city, past a train, you could ask and find the station. I have long time to travel by train, i am a car person i admit it! , but as an experience, to past by small village and admire nature is great!. Happy trip!.
