BTW Go Bengals. I'm just sorry they didn't get rid of this guy soon enough.

I'm sorry but Blake was the single most cause of the Bengals hard times. It's amazing how bad attitude can bring the whole club down.

I'm just sorry but I can't bring myself to vote for anyone who says Blake was good. Actually, I liked him a lot at one time but once he got his money he just went to pot.

Ryan Leaf
Andre Ware
Gino Toretti
Jim Everett falls in this category, as well
David Klinger, too.

Seriously Ryan Leaf proably was. Not only did he not show a THING on the NFL field, he couldn't LEAD. He had NOTHING for the QB postion. A QB has to be able to play the game as well as be a leader. They can't have an attitude like Leaf had, who also fought with his own teammates. People complain about how T.O. supposedly divides teams, and I say takes two to tango on that issue, but Leaf was a QB that divide HIS team. That's FAR worse. As to Blake I can't say he is because he was great against my Steelers. Before you say something about how he lost last year in the playoffs, so did Peyton Manning, so did Jake Plummer(oh wait he went back to his old form it wasn't the Steelers defense sorry forgot we can't give credit where it is due.) Palmer made ONE play, and yeah it was a great play, that doesn't tell you how he would do over the course of a game. The D would ADJUST, that one play doesn't prove he would have been able to adjust enough to them adjusting to him.

Blake wasn't the single worst cause of the Bengals' issues - *that* was the cheap ownership. Once they finally gave a decent coach (Marvin Lewis) a shot, look what happened. Now good players don't mind coming here.
I like the "Ryan Leaf" response before me, and there's also Gino Torretta, a Heisman winner who went nowhere with Minnesota.

Not at all. I dont even think he's the 5th worst Bengals QB. I know you havent forgotten about Akili Smith. WOW what a complete BUST. I thought that Blake was a nice QB but he was in the mold of a Rodney Peete kind of player. Not going to lead anyone to any promised land.

Andre Ware. He was a Heisman winner, set national records, got to the league and did absolutely nothing.
Beats Ryan Leaf because Leaf impressed with the workouts and people started thinking he was better than Manning on the merit of the workouts. It was the league's own fault for giving more credit to the workouts than the body of work. Ware was suposed to be a sure thing.
Blake was good. He just wasn't Boomer.

My vote goes to Andre Ware. The guy did absolutely nothing in the NFL after being such a highly touted rookie.
