First I would probaly want to kick his ***. But then Id probaly realize that he wasnt worth anymore of my time. I would not give him the satisfaction of knowing that I was hurt instead act as if it I was not bothered by it at all and wish him well. Then the best revenge of it all would be to get over it completely and do things to make myself happy, and then when it doesnt work out with him and his girl I would get great satisfaction in telling him where to go when he tried crawling back (which they usually do eventually)

It will be hard for someone who is in a relationship and gave it there all, then finally to hear "sorry babe I met someone else", but I'll tell you what, that's not the end of the world and certainly not the end of your friends world. You see everything that happens, happens for a reason even if you don't see it right away.Maybe your friend thought that that was the right person for him, but that does not mean that he is the right person for her. Loving someone does not mean that you're right for each other which your friend truly found out.Let your friend use this as a learning experience, learn from their mistakes. I am sure that they had problems that we don't know about.
PS. I am not a shrink, I just went through a similar experience.

She doesn't deserve him if she does something like that.
Personally, I don't know how I'd react I've never been in the situation. And at the moment I have a great relationship so I hope I'm in no danger. But it's hard. I know I would never show him I feel hurt. But then again, this is me, I never like to show when I suffer.
To get over it I think I'd just try to find people to have fun with. Friends or even a short relationship to proove myself I can find better than him.

I would let them go. Obviously that person wasn't right for him. There are other's out there, someone whos is more like him and wouldn't cheat on him. Someone that will be his second, it just takes time and a bit of blind luck. I've just recently found that one after a few bad relationships who fits me perfectly, and I'm in my mid 30's. It's not a race, have to enjoy the journey and not beat yourself up for the stupidity and baneness of others.

If somebody says they are leaving you for someone else that means they do not love you or want to be with you anymore...period. Think of it from the other persons point of view also. The feeling of being with someone who you don't love is awful too-let them go! End of story! There is a poem that helped me through a bad break up: If you love someone...let them go...if they come back they're yours if not they never were.

I am not in a relashonship but if that hapened to me I would just move on and never think about it again. That person is probably going to end up with a horrible life in the end for cheating on you. So just forget about it and move on. Good Luck. =)

Obviously, if the other person can do this to them, they're not worth it. And it's hard to look at it that way right now, but hindsight is always 20/20. Your friend will figure out soon enough.

You mourn the loss of this person, but you move on recognizing that it's better to be free to find a great relationship than to try to stay with someone who is not interested in you and doesn't appreciate you for who you are.

I would encourage your friend to let the person go, how can you ever have trust for the cheater again? No man or woman is worth crying over, if they are worth it they wont make you cry. Best wishes! good luck!
