I'm thinking of asking this guy out. How does this sound? He can drive I can't and I know he hasn't seen Pirates of the Caribeean yet. I was thinking of asking him onMon if he'd like to catch a late show after our show rehersal on Tuesday.
Me: Hey, do you want to see Pirates tomorrow after practice? I heard it was good. I pay, you drive?

What do you think? Suggestions welcome!

Thats good if u want to save face in case he says no! You could also say " hey I bought 2 tickets to see Pirates of the Carribean and now my friend cant go- going to the movies alone sucks- wanna go with me? This also gives you an out if he says no! Either way is ok! Have a great time!

Leave out the last part about "I pay, you drive". When making plans it'll be known that he HAS to drive and when you get to the theater the paying issue will be resolved. It just sounds desparate, plus you may get a free movie out of it.
