OK everybody. Do you dig this or diss this?
Please put why.
Also Im going to do 3 'dig it or diss it' things a day so look forward to what I'll put each day!!!

*I choose best answers to answers that dont offfend me or anyone else and that have a good reason why they dig/diss and that I agree with*

Dig it. Sometimes guns be a + because they can be used as protection or a threat for the police. Sometimes it's the only thing that works for the police that gets the point across.

however...

Diss it! Guns can be extremely dangerous! They can be used as a threat to people who are not police and some actually use it to kill people. Especially in the hands of kids... guns are dangerous!!! Just look to what happened to Columbine! :(

DISS...I'm not all about restricting people's civil liberties, but when Americans demonstrate the responsibility it takes to own a gun, then I will be all for it. So many children are killed each year because of gun related accidents in the home. There is just too much violence in the U.S. these days. I recently visited Australia and their police officers don't even carry guns. You have to wonder why we have more gun violence than any other country. Blame in on whatever you want to blame it on, but the bottom line is that other societies have the same movies, video games, music, etc. (my point is western culture is everywhere) and yet we have thousands of more deaths a year from guns. Unless you are hunting on private property (which is a small minority of people), then I don't see the purpose in owning one.

This reminds me of when you asked about wars. I am going to give a similar answer, because the subject is quite similar. I am against violence, wars, and guns, but of course if a nasty violent country has guns and a good country doesn`t, then the good country won`t last very long. So even though they are a bad thing, they are sometimes necessary.
I think Britain has a much better situation than America currently has. Virtually no one here in Britain has any guns, I know of no one myself. Where as if my opinion of America is correct, guns are much more common. And of course in a country where there are many guns there is more reason to need a gun. So I am just glad that Britain hasn`t started down that slippery slope yet, because once you have started down it, it`s hard to turn back. I feel quite safe here in Britain.

By the way similar logic can be applied to many weapons not just guns, like gas in world war 1, tanks and planes in world war 2, and now nuclear weapons, but of course once something is invented, it can`t be un-invented, so all you inventors out there, be carefull, do we really want or need the thing you are trying to invent.

Diss it.

It's dangerous and it's harmful to people. It's okay for police and people like them to have guns, since it's part of their job and it's to help the community, but any ordinary people owning guns is wrong because why bother having a anyway? What are you gonna use it for? I don't really see a reason why people should own guns.

Digit only if they are used responsibly, but diss it if someone gave like a 5 year old a gun...or a drunk person, they don't know what they do with a gun.

Diss it. Guns only cause trouble and death. If all the guns in the world were to suddenly dissapear, then we would be so much closer to achieving world peace.

Do we dig/dis the idea of guns? Or do we dig/dis the idea of what you are trying to do? You explained what you are trying to do. But you didn't explain "guns." What do you like/dislike about guns? Be more specific. What if you put "flowers", or "soda" or "food"? Very ambiguous and too broad.
