i need help i built a computer but the dvdrw drives dont work ive checked the connection 100 times but it still doent read the disk

Try the dvdrw on another computer to see if the dvdrw is working okay,very easy thing to do,

Are you trying to piggy-back on an IDE cable? Do you have a SCSI drive? Try going to the HCL to see if your hardware is compatible. Then make sure you installed the drivers properly. Go to the manufacturers website and see if you can find any current drivers for the device. If so, reinstall the drivers.

May be a software glitch with the DVDRW drivers, you need to check this.

Change the jumper settings on the back of the drive.
start with just one hooked up and make is CS - Cable select
If your pc sees it after that change the second drive to CS or Slave.
