Why was there bleeding and did the removal hurt as much as when it was placed?

Yes..bleeding, pain, are two of the most common reasons that a IUD is removed..it is not always the best BC for women..some are sold on it while others have it taken out almost immediately..discuss your options with your physician when you have it removed.

I had to have an iud removed because of bleeding and I felt a whole bunch better than when it was in

I had an IUD place in Feb. and it didn't hurt me at all, it was like a small pinch, and that was it, the first three months my periods were heavier, but they have lightened up since and actually my periods aren't as heavy as they used to be. But then again everyone responds differently to things.
