We have both a new CEO and a new CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) at my workplace. They are "cleaning house" so to speak. Most everyone seems to either be quitting or getting fired incl. our Operations Manager and my Boss. The CEO cornered me in May and asked me what I do. I felt like this set me up for a defensive remark but I explained to her as best I could. Last week, she asked me again and wanted to set up a meeting. I figured this was an interview for my own job so I quit before I could be fired. She called me back and begged me to reconsider and I did. When asked why I quit, I told her I felt like I was being treated unfairly- I have heard talk behind my back and also, I did not understand why my position was in question. She assured me that I was a great employee and the company would take a hard hit if I left. I don't trust her.I have a meeting with her tomorrow.Have I made a mistake?I am happy with my job just not secure. Please help! I am a bad liar and had to be honest.

Hi

I would go to the meeting....talk to her..be honest....but if she offers your job back..take it....but in the mean time..If you have bad feelings about working there...I would look for another job to keep as a back up....

if you are unhappy..or uneasy it will show in your work...

i wish you luck!

go into the meeting with an open mind. tell her you like
your job a lot, but would rather find another if she feels
you are not suited. keep on being honest with both
yourself and others.

yes, you made a mistake. never leave a job before you have another one.
