Terrorists giving a bad name for Islaam?

There is a lot of anger towards muslims in recent years from the west, from prejudice caused by 9/11 and other events.

It is true that most muslims are not terrorists, but the problem is really that most terrorists seem to be muslims. This is what causes the prejudice.

Why has there not been a stronger backlash in the islaamic community against the 'bad' muslims who give islaam a bad name by killing innocents ? What could be done by the good muslim population to separate the bad from the good, so that Islaam doesn't have to suffer so much prejudice ? Any ideas ?

The Human Race is obviously in a very early stage of development. Believing in one of the many faiths world wide is folly. Basing hatred, nationalism and war on a faith shows that Humanity is but a toddler on its way (hopefully) to maturity. Will humanity grow up and realize that knowledge, science and testable repeatable truths are the path to peaceful existence. Killing other people in the name of Allah, God, Buddha etc. etc. or even nationalism is true folly. We need to stop believing in witches, goblins, demons, angels, devils, gods and our countries and start believing in ourselves and the truth that exists around us. We need to rid ourselves of fear and hatred, which religion focus' on. Let go of faith and grasp reality. Respect and gain knowledge as we reject all ignorance and the destruction it breeds.

It's times like now (in the middle east) that we show our true ignorance and immaturity as a (human) race.

Teach your children the truth - maybe they'll have a chance to teach their's, and one day we may become worthy of existence.

Basically Its All About Creating Propognadas.....The Western Media Wants People to Think That Muslims Are Responsible For All The Terrorist Activites. They Plan Their Ways Around So the Blame Is Either Indirectly Or Directly On The Muslims. Look At The Recent Israeli Attack On Lebanon. Now That Palestine Is Fighting For Its Home, They Are Terrorists Because They Are Throwing Rocks At Israeli Soldiers or Doing Suicide Bombings. Let Me Tell You Something, Suicide Bombing In Islam Is Not Allowed, And The Suicide Bombers Are Doing Wrongful Acts And They Are Bringing Down The Name Of Islam. But Ask Yourself This If Someone Comes To Your House With A Gun, And Says That You Can't Do Go To The Bathroom Or Eat This Or Do That. What Are You Going To Do. You Have Limited Options. That Is Exactly What Israel Is Doing To Palestine Right Now. They Are Killing Innocent People Out There, And Thats What They Have Been Doing For The Last Couple Of Years. If I Was A Palestinian Myself, Then I Would Probably Have Done Something SimilarTo Save My Family From Those Real Zionist Terrorists. Israel Is The Biggest Terrorist Country. Period. Their Secret To Power Is They Control The World's Economy. No One Can Do Anything About That.

Today it is not wise to belong to a group, because someone could be a good person but it only takes a few to make the whole group look bad. Not gust Islaam, but all groups such as Arabs,Blacks,Whites,Mexicans,Police,Democrat,Republican and any other group.So i am an individual and i do not belong to any group, and i am responsible for my own dam self.

The mullahs need to actually in the mosques and in public tell them they are going to hell if they blow themselves up etc ... they never do this. The most they say is the rhetoric 'we don't support the terrorist actions but we understand why they did it' That itself is so bad, and makes the problem worse ...

It's not just the terrorism. Muslims insist they are a peaceful religion. However, I've heard more than one women that is Muslim admit that it is part of their religion to hit your wife if she doesn't behave the way the husband sees fit. That doesn't sound peaceful to me. It sounds like a religion that is repressive to women.

I have not figured this out either. One thing is that many Arabs listen to leaders who are not giving them the correct info about events. So perhaps in part it is because they don't understand the situation.

yes definitely. why do you think people in the Middle East hate Americans so much? its because the united states is supporting Israel, and Israel used to belong to Palestine. and now its for Israel. not only that the U.S. also sent troops to Iraq because they think that they have weapons. if i was in there place i would think that the U.S. is trying to take apart the middle east one by one by sending troops and taking action in the middle east. they probably just want to be left alone to solve there own problems. to them Israel is the enemy, and for the U.S. to support Israel is like supporting the enemy. not only that, they feel like the U.S. wants to be the most powerful by being the only one that has weapons. would you think its fair if you weren't from the U.S. for the U.S. to be the only country that is aloud to have weapons? wouldn't you want weapons for your country so if anyone attacked you can protect yourself? i would its not their fault their just defending their self. is there anything wrong with that, isn't that a right?
