Being from Alabama I can tell you that our lawmakers passed a bill that states it is illegal to buy or sell any items that stimulate the vagina. Thanks to the bible thumpers in this state which voted no to the lottery but go to Tennessee to buy thier own tickets. Same people pushed this bill, and I'm sure they are using vibrators in the bedroom. If you are near Huntsville you can go to Pleasures on Univeristy Drive, they have them, They have fought the law, and actually beat it. But they ID you at the door.
I think the actually loophole is as long as no one under the age of 19 or 18 or whatever can enter the store, or see them you can get away with selling them. There are a few places left in AL that sell this type of thing. You just gotta know where to look.

Because the elected State legislative representatives in Alabama either live in the dark ages or feel that politically they can not legalize certain types of sex aids. Vibrators have a number of function. Some times they are used in non-sexual massages and other times they are used in sexual massages. As instruments of sexual massages for either male or female masturbation they are considered sex aid paraphernalia and somehow, in the minds of the legislators or the people they serve, are harmful to society in such a way as to require their prohibition. You be the judge.

unbelievable! I guess Oklahoma is not the only "Bible thumping" place left in the U.S. We just legalized tatoos, about 2 months ago, along with adding a lottery. But VIBRATORS? Apparently law-makers in Alabama are not interested in the happiness of their female constituents. Or couples for that matter! My husband and I would be charged on MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS. If that is true, I finally know what it is that I don't like about Alabama.And, I feel sorry for all the lonely women there. Don't worry, all the OLD FARTS that made the stupid law will eventually die off. Then the laws will change. I personally believe the laws are made based on the lawmakers upbringing. I'm 31, and I can't wait for my generation to take over gov't. office(s) cause I love to watch my woman play w/ her vibrator!!!!!

Because Alabama is below the Mason-Dixion line. Therefore making it part of the "Bible Belt" states. Masturbation is strongly frowned upon in the Bible. Hence it being illegal.

It may be illegal to buy or have them, but trust me, there are tons of stores that sell them if you are lookin for one. I know there are a couple in Tuscaloosa, one in Huntsville, prob. several in B'ham (not positive though), and one in Oxford. And that's just the stores I've been to. So you know there are MANY more. & I highly doubt if you buy anything, the cops will arrest you when you leave the store. Just don't worry about it.
