You will need to hook up the output of the VCR to your computer. This can be done using the standard cables of your VCR and a TV Tuner Card in your PC.

You'll need a "video capture device" of some type and some RCA patch cords. The devices come in USB and PCI versions. The USB devices are usually less expensive. They permit you to copy the VHS video to your hard drive. then you need software, like Pinnacle, to convert the analog video into digital video (MPEG, AVI) then you can burn the VHS video onto a DVD. Most devices come with the software you will need to do this. They also will include some type of editing program so you can add transitions , music, voice overs, titles, and menus to your DVD. You can also use Microsoft's Movie Maker for this.

1) if you have TV card connect the VCR to it and record what you want with ( movie maker for windows )
or if you have a Video card use it for the same purpose.
