No need for anyone to explain anything about these guns I know that the M16 is more accurate but not as reliable and the AK47 less accurate and more reliable, etc I just wanted to know where you stand on your preference. I personally prefer guns like the FNC, Fabrique Nationale's assault rifle that's half based off the AKM and half based off the M16A2...

So I guess I prefer hybrids, usually because one: they're cheaper than M16s but not as cheap as AK47s, they are as reliable most the time to AK47s but are as accurate as M16s... examples: like earlier said, the FNC, the G36, G3A3, Galil, R-4, SAR, etc etc

the AK's better for the main reason that it handles better. But for esthetics, I prefer the M16.

I actually prefer the M-16,w/variants...
Highly accurate...
Lighter,in both weapon and ammo weight...
I prefer the ability to carry as much ammo as possible...ya can never have too much ammo...
However...
The AK-47 with it's very loose machine tolerances.Can be dropped in mud and left there for the day while it's owner takes a nap and eats and plays horseshoes,and he can then,take it out of the mud.Wipe it off and spray away...
So it does not need the care of a real well machined weapon such as the M-16...
That's the main reason for the AK's popularity...
Any idiot with two hands can use it's deadly power...
Sure they'll get hit by the guy armed with the M-16 on the first shot...
But at least they'll be able to fire a few clips into the sky above their own heads in ignorance before they're taken out...LOL

They both have their ups and downs, the AK is more reliable in dirty conditions but the M-16 is more accurate.
I really liked the British L7, it takes the more power full 7.62 and has better accuracy so I guess it would be a combo. Of course the army has been under pressure to adapt, 7.62 is more of a common ammo and when it comes to actual battle it is best to have a weapon which can be adapted to take enemy ammo as well, I hope some day I can try the proto type XM-8, from what I hear it is a pretty well rounded reliable weapon.

The AK47 is a better weapon. The M16 is prone to jamming in extreme conditions (heat, cold, sand, etc) while the AK was designed to preform in the same conditions. The AK is manufactured in dozens of countries by different companies, but every part works with every gun. (You can pick random parts from random factories, assemble them and have it work perfectly without the need to tinker)
They're inexpensive to manufacture, and they take relitively little training to maintain, while the M16 needs an entire day of instruction before a soldier can break one down, and reassemble it.
The Canadian C-7 rifle addressed the problems with extreme conditions (If I remember right, in desert storm 1, the M16 would jam every 30 rounds on average, the C7 would jam every 500.) but it's still a complex weapon and needs special training to maintain.

id rather use G-36
but AK Variants are also good
especialy the M-4 its small and compact
but id still prefer G-36 though because it has folding stock, built in scope and has a good or standard rate of fire
anyways are u talking about airsoft??

AK is a better weapon. I've shot both, my AK never ever jammed on me and every 16 I've touched jammed after less than half a magazine.

The newer US military guns that is the main gun their using today - M16 its lighter and more acquit.

Hmm on video games I use the AK and other Russian weapons a lot. Idk why. Maybe cuz the ammo is always around.
