Yes, it is the same war we are fighting on Terrorism.

Yes we created many things during the Cold War, but nobody is placing any of the blame on the former Soviet Union either. The world was to be divided, and we had to have allies. We did not choose the leaders of those countries, but we supported the ones in place to stop the Communist Aggression (yes, even Saddam was aided-especially against Iran--or did you forget the 444 days?).

We do not choose violence, it chooses us. In order for me to fully believe that you believe violence can be ended, start with your own small piece of the world. Stop all violence and crime in your own town. Stop Drunk Drivers, Robberies, Rape, Torture, Child Abuse, Reckless Drivers....the list goes on. People have a desire to break the law. I'm sure you have INTENTIONALLY drove faster than the speed limit, crossed a street against a red light (even if nobody is there, it is still illegal)..something illegal yourself.

Wars are started when people develop power and use it to further their greed, hatred or beliefs. World War II was a result of Hitler hating Jews and being greedy. He spread throughout Europe amassing riches AND exterminating Jews at every turn. The War on Terrorism is a simple case of our survival. To compare it, we are Hitler's Jews, but we are fighting back. Al-Qaeda does not have borders, they are a fanatical, religious extremist group bent on the utter destruction and extermination of all Judeo-Christians in the world. They are attacking the strongest first (USA and Isreal) in order to exterminate anyone raised in that culture of infidelity, even American Muslims will be killed. After us, the world will fall without the great protector to save them. "There is but one God, and Allah is His name." This is not a war of politics, borders, money...it is a war to annihalte us, and to save our very existence. Osama even offered to pull all of Al-Qaeda ("insurgents") out of Iraq, "leave them to govern themselves, if we pulled all troops out of Iraq, then we could continue our battle in the streets and towns of America" to keep it going. Do you want to wake up to a Saber to YOUR throat because you are an American? The very rights and freedoms you have, that allow you to choose YOUR religion, or even a lack of it, are the reasons they want YOU dead.

We are not being violent, we are defending our right to exist. If you want to help their cause, end your own life now, and that will be one less for them to kill. If this upsets you, to know they want your entire family to die, your sisters and brothers beaten and killed, your mother's head sawed off, then do something to stop all of this. Raise awareness, enlist and defend, volunteer around your community, talk to people....do something, but don't listen to those that are sympathizers and getting rich from this war.

NEXT:

Iraq's arsenal of weapons of mass destruction was not captured by US forces who heroically brought down Saddam Hussein's regime three years ago this week. It vanished before they arrived.
Israeli intelligence reported before the US-led invasion that starting in late summer 2002 Saddam's WMD arsenal was shipped by truck convoy to Syria. Recently, documents seized from Iraq after the fall of the regime were released to the public. Those documents revealed that under the direct command of former Russian prime minister and KGB boss Yevgeny Primakov, Russian Spetnaz forces oversaw the transfer of Iraq's WMD to Syria ahead of the US-led invasion. These reports have been corroborated by Saddam's Air Vice Marshall General Georges Sada.

So rather than being destroyed or secured, Saddam's WMD arsenal was simply moved from one rogue regime with intimate ties to terror organizations to another rogue regime with intimate ties to terror organizations.

Of course, American Media will NOT report this, it will prove Bush right, and then they would look stupid.

When News Lies

WHEN NEWS LIES
Media Complicity and The Iraq War

By Danny Schechter, The News Dissector

A new book from Danny Schechter offers an up to date indictment of the role media played in promoting and misreporting the war on Iraq. It is an analysis of how and why the media got it wrong that pinpoints the failures of journalism and the collusion of media companies with the Bush Administration. The author of EMBEDDED: Weapons of Mass Deception (Prometheus 2003), an account of the TV coverage of the US invasion, returns with a more comprehensive, updated and insider look at the media complicity that Schechter argues "made the war possible."

"Most of the anti-war movement focused on the crimes of the Bush Administration ignoring the mainstream media, its far more effective accomplice," says former network producer Danny Schechter (ABC, CNN). "The government orchestrated the war while the media marketed it. You couldn't have one without the other."

WHEN NEWS LIES includes the feature -length DVD of the prize-winning film WMD (Weapons of Mass Deception). The book will also include the complete script as well as a discussion of the challenges of exposing media with media with a documentary. It chronicles the media war fought alongside the military campaign and the struggle to stand up for truth.

What? The U.S. isn't involved in Israel's situation already?

As the first country to recognize Israel in 1948, the U.S. has found itself over nearly six decades in the unenviable position of being Israel's primary defender in the world community.

Religious and political considerations aside, it's in our interests for now to wait and see unless Israel's survival is directly threatened. In a way, it's also in the interests of the "Palestinians" (Arafat will go down in history for making up a nationality) and the Arab-dominated countries of the Middle East as well -- without the scapegoat of Israel believed to purchase its success at the expense of the nations around it, Assad, Mubarak, et. al. would have the powderkegs they're sitting on in their countries explode.

Not militarily, but we should certainly support their right to defend themselves. I mean... I know I would have just dropped a damn tactical nuke straight on Hizbollah if it was me. I think Israel is showing remarkable restraint. It's going to take them about a week to destroy Lebanon. I would have done it in about 17 minutes.
