Its "generalized", but yes some things are accurate. For instance, my name is Pamela, and the description for Catherine is not reflective of me at all, even though it's vague...
So yes I'd say the name has some power over the person, or,
the person makes you decide a certain name,
depending on their trait, therefore, alot of Type X people get a name suited for Type X...
get my drift?? And it just "winds up that way" that most Pamelas are sweet... ;)
:)

I think it's true but don't take it for granted. It's true to me cause my name reflects my personality and I've a strange story behind it.but this may not be true for everyone. When i was born my mom gave a name to me-PIA which means very soft, voiceless. That name effected my personality cause i was a baby who doesn't know how to cry.Doctors said it's bad for baby if she didn't cry. Then my grandma changed my name by joking-Chaity.It's a name of a season in my country-summer.from that day i'm hot tempered. My mom said i started shouting like a summer crow.I like all summer colours and look beautiful on that.

Yes. My name is not common today (Gilda). It was more common about five or six decades ago. I don't know anyone living that shares my name.
How does this describe who I am?
I am old fashioned. I like to do things the traditional way. I love catering to my man because I feel men are the kings of the den. I love westerns and black and white movies. I am simple in the way I do things.

No, I don't think that it does. I know they say the way you write your name means something about what kind of person you are. I've had that done once and it really is kind of neat. Some names though mean different things. My son's name means 'finding the path'.

Yes, sometimes I think we emulate the meanings even if we don't know them.Mine means wise counselor or adviser. I am the one people get advice from or turn to for some perspective on their situations. Although every Precious or Angel I ever knew were butt-heads to put it nicely.

Sometimes it is true and sometimes it is not. My name suits me just fine, but I've seen people whose names do not describe them at all.
