windows installer comes up wenever a software is ready to be installed on ur system , did u try to install anything and quit without completing..on run type %temp% then delete everything there ,if it's still there does it come up wenever u start ur system ,if yes then on run type msconfig click on start up tab uncheck if something relating to this is there..u may disable all and check.

That only happens when software is attempting to install on your PC. It may be something from the net attempting to infiltrate your system. go to http://safer-networking.org/ and d/l spybot and run it, this just may solve your problem. I would also perform a complete virus scan..Update an run your anti virus software or go to http://avast.com/ and get that software
