There used to be about 17 inclines in Pittsburgh.. I find it to be a little scary and exciting, it's like going up the hill on a rollercoaster but then nothing fun happens at the end... The incline with the curve in it is pictured in the photographic history of south side which you can find at any bookstore...they have them for a few different neighborhoods... and as far as a problem with the cable... that did not happen... it was a problem with the computer... statistically inclines are the absolute safest mode of mechanical transportation and a must on your visit to pittsburgh

Loved it. Did you know that many years ago Pittsburgh had the world's only incline with a bend in it? It might've been called the Monongehela Incline. Can anyone help me with this? It ran alongside Warrington Avenue.

They are kind of scary. I see them every day. Not long ago, one of them had a cable problem. Small accident.

My first reaction, 35 years ago was being scared. But very impressive!

Well I was visiting the love of my life who lives in Stuebenville, OH (I am from MN) and we went down to PITTS and went on an incline.

It was very romantic :)
