Ok, I'd like to get people's opinions and justifications here. I have been hearing some people continue to say that war is never, ever the answer, and that these countries should talk it out. My theory is that these positions are more utopian than practical, but I would like to hear the justifications. The fact is, how I see it, if Israel sat back and let Lebanon and other terrorist-based countries walk all over it, Israel would not exist today. They would have been trounced soon after they were formed after WWII. Israel's enemies show absolutely no desire for diplomacy, they want 1 thing and 1 thing only: To obliterate Israel off of the map. Let's be practical here. Diplomacy has been tried again and again, it doesn't work with these people, so should Israel just roll over and play dead then ??

I specifically mentioned lebanon here only because of the current conflict, but this applies to Israel vs. all Middle East countries which hate it.

Ok, first off you're saying that if Israel sat back and let lebanon and what you called other terrorist-based countries walk over it, it would not exist. When was Israel created? After WW2 ? How would you like it if I come to your door claiming that my great-great-great grand parents used to live in your house? And I kicked you out of it, and put you on the street, (I'm stronger than you, and your neighbours didn't even try to help you or support you)

Talking about democracy ! Damn don't get me started ! I'm not gonna talk about this bully's acts since it came to the middle east, but let me just tell you that HEZBOLLA captured 2 israeli ON THE LEBANESE TERRITORY
and ISRAEL answered by FIGHTING THE WHOLE LEBANON, killing innocent civilians lebanese and non-lebanese, people who had nothing to do with hezbolla, braking bridges in halfs and blasted the airport and much more ! Over a 100 lebanese people died and 400 wounded since the war started (12 July) How many died in Israel by the way ?!?I remind you that the LEBANSE GOVERNMENT IS WEAK, VERY WEAK BECAUSE IT HAD TO GO THROU THE CIVIL WAR OF LEBANON AND THEREFORE IT CANNOT FIGHT HEZBOLLA BACK AND IT'S NOT EVEN THEY'RE RESPONSABILITY TO DO SO, because if again my neighbor fights in my backyard without my consent and with force, i am not responsible of his acts, but of course Israel is not stupid, it knows that , but who cares, as long as the american government is supporting it financially, and emotionally too (and is "fighting terrorism" and is doing all those lovely things) the bully is protected and does what it wants to do

WE DON'T HATE ISRAELI PEOPLE, WE DON'T HATE JEWISH PEOPLE, WE DON'T WISH YOU WERE OBLITERATED OFF OF THE MAP but we wish your government was.

ps a message to everyone who takes the time to read this : Watch the news both ways around, watch news from CNN the biggest lier ever but watch it from other foreign channels, do researches on the internet , gather information and have your own opinion , don't let politicians fool like . Use your mind people! Ue your mind!!!!

Most of the Arab countries have recognised Isreal's right to existstance. The problem although it's hammered that no one is giving Isreal that right, Isreal is guilty of not letting others that right. It's an arrogant state towards it's neighbors, there are thousads of Arabs in Isreali jails who've been locked up for yrs no one knows their fate. Some of the arrested were kids, they're families no nothing about them and don't know if they will ever see them again. To the international community all what Israel has to say is they are terrorists to get them off it's back. The Arabs tried to negotiate a solution for these prisoners but Isreal is defeient. Injustice breeds injustice. That's what reached us to a state of war.

Yesterday, when the Arab foreign ministers had an urgent meeting to negotiate a solution for the latest assult on lebanon, .. it failed. After all these years they finally realized that the fate of the ME is in the hand of Israel. What ever is not in their interest will be vetoed by the U.S. and whatever decisions to discipline it will go ignored. They are immune to accountability therefore, do as they please. They also realized that there will be no peace unless Israel initiates it, and as long as it's not in their interests they won't. They will continue with their aggression killing the innocent, and destrying their homes, roads,...etc.. terrorizing a whole country. Probably expand there illegal occupations by taking over Lebanon, then Syria, Egypt, ...etc.

Many Arab leaders took to the initiative to have a deplomatic relation with Israel even at the cost of their peoples anger. But what do you do with a powerful country like Israel who shapes the destiny of the ME if it wants war? ... nothing but wait till decides to return to talks, if ever.

Just want to mention that Israel was formed in 1948 after europens kicked jews to what was the Israel, just go and check the ethninity of the israelies: 1/4 from russia, 1/4 from europe and 1/4 from arab countries and the rest from other parts of the world including ethiopia and india!
besides dont watch only cnn...u should watch arab media to see what israel is doing. I, as a christian lebanese, am 100% against hizbollah, but when i c what israel is doing to my country and how it is killing people, i have to be against israel, and please dont tell me that we attack israel all the time. Everyday israeli warplanes used to go inside lebanon and fire in lebanese territories, if things are not aired on tv, that doesnt mean that it is not happening!

Very well,

I'll answer this question in clear, logical and easy-to-understand steps:

First of all people, you're saying that Hizbullah is the aggressor because he had kidnapped two Israeli soldiers. right ?.

Let's take a deeper look.

1. Israel has thousends of innocent people in their prisons for years with no fu**in country talks about.

2. Hizbullah has kidnapped two Israeli "soldiers" and asked Israel to free up prisoners to make "captive exchange".

3. Israel started bombing lebanon to protect its "National Security". (get me fu**ed)

4. Hizbullah started the normal reaction using their C802 rockets.

That's all about this conflict.

Just think using your pure-of-fundamentalism mind and you'll conclude who's the real aggressor.

My idea this morning was that if Bush wanted to show someway to regain respect it would be to start a strong diplomatic resolution. BUT you are right, they have been tried and tried and tried. However blowing each other up what will that do but give more work to the undertakers and carpenters who rebuilt. War is not a solution either. So back to the drawing board?

In agreement: Israel is a fake racist regime created and supported by colonist British to serve sinister purposes. It's doomed to die because it's existence only relies on military power. One who lives by the sword will die by the sword.
US and England also will fall in anarchy and burn with the same racial, ethnical and social clashes as a result of what they're planting today.

Israel has tried diplomacy and concessions.

Hamas, Hezbollah and other Arab/Muslim groups (but not all of them) has tried suicide bombers, rockets and murder of not only Jews, but other Muslims who do not agree with them.

The extinction of the Islamic Fascists is the only solution currently available. May the get their 72 virgins; and the sooner the better.

The Hezbollah (like the Hamas/Muslim Brotherhood) is a crazy anti-Semitic jihadist cult. There's no "talking" with these groups.

They must be detroyed.
