it's doesn't sound like a virus, but an internal error with the computer (please note: bring it to a repair shop). did a surge go through it? if so consider it dead, play taps etc. most come with a warantee (sic), which I hope its still under. because even if a surge didn't go through it, I think it's dead.

your problem is related to the software, make sure that your UPS is working correctly if UPS is not using by u than first use the UPS, which operating system is used by u, if u use window than your operating system CD is pirated or genuine if u use pirated then you solve this problem with format your hard disk and again load operating system if u use genuine then get help from Microsoft website. if u know more about installing operating system on machine than you write me mail and I will solve your problem. please write your machine manufacturer and how many software CD you have.

are you getting any error messages if so write them down and google them if not your Hard drive is probably going out. If worse comes to worse try to reinstall your Operatin System you will lose your info on the hard drive so i dont recomend this with out trying something else first.
