cracker has other meaning s when the N-word doesn't.
cracker can mean, well...cracker!(bread?!)
the n-word has a bad history. It reminds people of slaves.
About the black'n'white thing...it's just because they're the two most basic race in the world!

GREAT Question!!! That word is OFFENSIVE to many that's why. and I hardly hear anyone say/use the words cracker unless they/I want it with cheese or chili and I never hear the word honkie unless I watch the Jefferson's. LOL The N word is always used and it is not a pleasant word to use/hear. And sad to say many persons don't even KNOW what the N word means. It has nothing to do with being Black. That shows you/lets you know HOW IGNORANT some/many persons are.

I'm from Michigan and I'm African American. A Caucasian would never use that term in front of another African American person. When I moved to Florida a Caucasian girl said it too me. I almost slapped her.

When you're not educated and you don't know where these terms have originated from, you should refrain from using them. The term ****** originated in the slave days and was NOT used as a term for endearment! My family does not utilize this type of vocabulary, but I have friends and distant family that do.

As for the term "cracker" when expressed it doesn't have the same "belittlement" that "******" does. I don't use it...but there's a difference.

The term "racism" is actually for everyone. I think Americans usually think of White's and Blacks because of their history...

This is just my opinion...just like I don't use the term "picnic".

niggard means cowardly...it was a word in 11th grade english, all the blacks in the class, bugged out a little when they saw our list for the week, he he

It all boils down to political correctness...you have to go out of your way to attempt to be fair to blacks (especially, but other minotires and women too).

****** will never stop having its sting as long as it is taboo and as long as blacks over react to that word.

What about niggard or *********? Is that OK. Niggard used to be my e-mail address, but I had to change it.
