I have found words to a WWI military song, to be sung to the Tune of "Tammany". I'm trying to find the tune. Best guess is it is related to Tammany Hall. Sadly, googling just yields gazillion hits for some recent band named Tammany Hall. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes they did. They had several in fact. Its likely that the one you're talking about is the one called "Big Chief Tammany."

NB:There was also a musical called "Tammany, or the Indian Chief " that is from 1796, but no copies of the music have survived.

I don't think so. Tammany Hall was just a Democratic political machine in NYC, led by Boss Tweed.
