The common slimming color is black. Of course, during summer months it will be tough to wear black. White will be another option. It doesn't help you look slim but it makes you look and feel fresh and airy light. This helps boost your confidence. Of course, you can blend wearing a white top and black pants or bottoms. Wearing thin vertical stripes may also help your silhouette look better. Horizontal stripes can also be used as long as they are finer and not large enough to make you look tubby.

if u talk about color, black is surely can make u the thinnest.
but, since u don't want to feel hot on summer day, then why don't u try any BRIGHT COLORS, but the trick is look for a VERTICAL STRIPES. I believe u will look thin n fresh on that shiny summer day :-)
btw, I really suggest u white shirt with green vertical stripes... umm, it looks good on summer day

Black is slimming because it absorbs rather than reflects light. And, shadows blend. Hence, black takes away some of the dimensionality of the visual picture.

I cant suggest a color but, dont wear horizontal stripes. They make everyone look big! Especially on television. Wear Vertical stripes they seem to slim people up.

Well, if it's really hot, go for a darker color, like dark blue (or any dark color you like). Black is best though, but on hot days, it absorbs light and heat.

black always makes a form look smaller. take 2 equal round pieces of paper and paint one black. It will look smaller than the white one at first sight.
