I don't, b/c I'm one of "those people"! LOL
The reason I do it when I'm answering a question b/c I'd like to give a detailed, appropriate and truthful answer.
If I can help someone, I feel good in knowing that I have. Sometimes the longer answers are more clear and understood, depending on what the asker is needing to know!
I've had three people write me and say thanks for my "long, detailed" answer and for the help I gave them.
I don't know, I guess I'm just a open-hearted person who enjoys helping others.
Hmmmm, that would explain the line of work I'm in! I work with mentally-challenged adults. Sometimes, when I'm reading questions, I think I'm at work! LOL

As a reader, of course it's tiring to read those paragraphs.
but I'm sure, as a writer (especially if u r doing a test or somekinda like that), u will try to write as many paragraphs as u can, just in order to get high score, or hoping that the tester will be bored in reading ur long long paraghraphs, then he will give u high score :-)

Sometimes. Depends on the situation. I write long paragraphs sometimes when I have a lot to say, and I don't want to be ignored. Well, I'm gonna stop now, before I prove my point.

Long answers I don't really mind. But long questions I am not fond of. I stop reading after a few lines. I feel why should I take the trouble to read so much, for what?

Well some do not . But when they do it shows they actually put some thought into it . but other times they are just looking for the 10 points , but it is often filled with "fluff" and has little meaning to it .

It doesn't bother me if the person needs that amount of space to answer the question completely.
What does bother me is if someone cuts and pastes a very large document into their answer instead of excerpting it and adding the URL that they used as reference.

questions are a lot easier than answers. Answers have to make up for the lack of information in the question. So, if you want shorter answers, then ask longer questions.

No. As long as the paragraph stays focused on the question, no harm, no foul as they say.

They are just trying to answer the question in detail. I should know I do it sometimes!
