I am considering a vacation trip to Chile specifically to tour the Inca Ruins. Machu Picchu appears to be a must see. Feed back from anyone who has been there would be greatly appreciated.

Machu Picchu is not in Chile, it's in Peru. Yes go there. Do the four day trail. It's not that hard. The guides pack the tents and cook the meals and everything. You can make the arrangements in Cuzco. Pack light, and bring lots of toilet paper, sunblock, a hat and a small flashlight. If at all possible, go in mid April when the weather is temperate and the rare orchids are in bloom.
