IF you sign up through the mobile phone does google not provide invites?

And I can't sign up since I dont have a cell and gmail is not letting her use her cell # for another invite. Can someone invite me?

You don't get invites right away. They have some system for how they send out invites. Just make sure your friend uses the account to send/receive emails, and they should get invites soon. If you want, I can send you an invite so you don't need to wait.
