Usually "preppy" people have more money, I guess.
I don't think Abercrombie & Fitch, Hollister, or American Eagle Outfitters are that unreasonable. Have you seen the prices at Neiman Marcus?

I agree with that girl ^ the reason is because as long as people are buying them they are going to sell them for whatever they can. When I was a teenager I would get clothes when they were on sale or when it was the off season. (like summer clothes in fall) Or go to outlet stores you can save allot their too.

They're targeting the "preppie" market. It's assumed if you're interested in their look you can afford to shop there. It must work because their profits are through the roof.

Because they know people will buy them. I like American Eagle and Gap, but I think that Abercrombie and Hollister are too expenisive when the clothes aren't even better quality.

I'm guessing probably because they know that people will want to shop there, and buy clothes, to look "Cool", and so they keep the prices high to make money. It really stinks, because all of the people who are "rich" have TONZ of outfits, and they laugh at people who wear the same outfit two times in one month. I think it's ridiculious.....but, people are people. and they won't settle for anything less.

Preppy kids are rich kids. If you have rich parents, of course you're gonna be a snob and shop at those places

Supply and demand. There are people who are willing to pay not only for quality, but sometimes just for the name on the label.

most of them are moe expensive cause they are actually quality products.. have you ever seen anythong good come out of Kmart or Zellers? hell no..
parasuco, BEBE, and Armani all make GOOD clothes thats why they are more.. sure you pay for the name but you also pay for the quality

because they know kids will wear the clothes to be considered hip and cool and will pay anything to do it. Smart business if you ask me!
