Pin stripe clothing is clothing that has vertical stripes. Except the stripes are extremely thin. Generally they are black or gray background with a gray stripe. It is very subtle looking but looks very nice and elegent. It can come in other colors.

Here is some examples

Clothing where the material has very tiny, thin, narrow stripes. Mens' suits are often made of pin stripe material where the suit is dark coloured and the stripes are in a different lighter colour. It looks great on shirts and blouses too but I don't think any kind of strips can make people look thinner. If you are curvy the stripes will curve too.

Pin stripes are basically small skinny stripes that run up and down on a pair of pants or on a shirt and so on. Usually the pin stripes are a shade or two lighter than the pair of pants/shirts/etc...that you have on.

Think of suits or work type clothing, usually with a base colour and stripes the width of a pin going down them in a complimentary colour. Should be subtle. vertical stipes do make you look slimmer.

A clasic pin-striped garment is a suit : The jacket & trowsers have thin lighter-coloured vertical stripes down them for effect.
In the UK I think it stereotypes city-of-London workers (finance), salesmen & estate agents(?)

Stripes that go down thge clothes rather than across and are very thin lines. they make people look thinner cos they make the body seem taller rather than rounder.

basically some clothes, mainly suits are one colour (generally black) and they have VERY fine strips down them, some times they are solid and sometimes they are broken, they run all the way down, vertically and are generally white

you can get other colour variations, but black with white stripes is most common
