The best way to do things is by looking at the local opportunities you have around you. Look into a community adult school usually they have quick careers, such as medical claims biller, nurses assistant, paramedic, etc. Your local community college might also have opening in short term coursework. Further, if you want a trades job, you will probably need an apprenticeship with a some sort of licensing to preform the job- you should look on line to find out what that board requires.
Additionally, if you graduated High school with decent marks and enjoy teaching others, you can tutor, or obtain your ESL cert.
But don't forget to start locally. See what your options are then go from there. Also, think about how many days off the career will offer, pay, etc.

You could go for a real estate license... Insurance sales... skilled trades deal more with experience than schooling. most stuff will take you about 2 years though (unless you go year 'round). Good luck!
