Yes! Freshwater fish absorb the water through their body.
Saltwater fish process the water through their gills to remove the salt.

they don't actually drink it. Freshwater fish absorb alot more. Saltwater fish actually expell water from there bodies more than absorb though due to the chemical complxies of the salt water.
