I agree with William. Open the door and just walk out. Or, if you mean how do you go public with your sexual orientation, then I would suggest you just do it, but be prepared for both positive and negative responses. If you are confident in who you are as a person, you will not be jolted by other people's reactions.

Good luck!!

Things you will need:

Flashlight, Cell Phone, posterdoard, markers, glitter, glue, and a very supportive family.

First turn on the flashlight and get creative. Design the best poster that represents what you have been hiding and now want to share with the people you love. After the board is designed call everyone you know and tell them to meet you at your bedroom closet, tell them you have something to share.

When they are all gathered around, you will say from behind the closet that you have something that you want to tell all of them. You are telling them out of love and respect and you hope that they will accept you no matter what it is.

You then ask for a drum roll, please. And you twist that doorknob, step out with poster in hand, and say loudly whatever it is you want to say.

Now not everyone will be happy to hear, but they will commend you on your creativity and will probably have a easier time dealing with it, because they will have others there with them. And in a few years you can look back on this and have a great laugh.

Good Luck!!!

First, tell a close friend you can trust and see their reaction which I am sure will be very positive and supportive. Then, you just have to slowly tell people you feel should know this....telling your family may be the hardest, but it doesn't mean you are a bad person or anything. They will still love you, they just might be disappointed. It takes some time, but it is getting more and more accepting to be homosexual in this day and age.

One more thing....chances are, a lot of people already suspect so don't be surprised if they say "I knew that already".

Good luck!

i think you should find out if your parents' views on homosexuality first, are they open to it or will it be the complete opposite? perhaps you have a sibling who will support you when telling your parents. if you're already "out" in front of the word and it's just your family that you need to come out to, then maybe you can ask a friend who is also homosexual for some advice (they must have came out at one time or another) however, if you need to come out to te world, it may be easier if you told your closet friend...hopefully they'll understand and they'll fight with you against those cruel and ignorant peoplewho just don't understand good luck :)

It's best to just be open and honest about the situation. When you tell family members, they may be shocked, or some may even feel upset. Then you have those relatives, friends, and others who will be there to support you no matter what your decision is. Just be comfortable and say what's on your mind and in your heart, because as long as you feel comfortable with your decision, others should feel comfortable with it as well. Only you can decide what feels right for you.

come out of the closet about what?

Open it...and push- there's no other way. If it seems to not open with a gentle push- then break through the doors...and come out with a bang. Did I answer your question? A question without specifics gets an answer without specifics.
